Flying is a very powerful keyword that most dragins already have, they'll get past most blockers.
Urabrask is much too expensive for a haste enabler, since you don't really care if your opponents stuff is tapped 99% of the time. I would replace him with ], but she's pretty expensive so I understand if you'd rather keep him in. Especially when you get 20+ mana and only have 9 cmc worth of spells to cast with it. Klauth is fine, but only being able to cast spells with his mana is pretty stifling. Maybe include ], ], and ].įor cuts, I would consider Klauth, Urabrask, Chameleon Colossus, Shared Summons, Kindred Summons, Component Pouch, Spit Flame, and Opportunistic Dragon. More draw wouldn't hurt either, if you have as much ramp as I recommend its easy to blow through your hand. I'd actually say you need more ramp overall, I only count around 8 where I would suggest 13 to 15. Goblin Anarchomancer provides excellent value over time, especially if you can get him out early and chain into a few ramp spells for 1 mana. Utvara Hellkite is insane, no further comment. Hellkite Charger pairs very well with your Savage Ventmaw, and the cost isn't very prohibitive to use at least once a turn in green. I love casting it only to use the untapped forests to cast another ramp spell right after it. I usually stick to 2cmc ramp, but Skyshroud is nuts especially in high cmc decks like this. Kediss works very well with damage doublers, because however much damage you dealt to the person you attacked is also doubled so you technically deal 4x damage to everyone else. Then next turn you minus her, summon Atarka, grab Xenagos, and kill someone out of nowhere. Vivien can ETB and immediatly make a blocker for herself for protection, she'll need it. Cards I don't see on your list that I would recommend are ], ], ], ], ], and ]. I'll post my own Atarka list here, it's served me very well and is surprisingly cheap overall. My idea is to take down one or two opponents in one huge swing by using the effect of ] to grand Double Strike to all attacking Dragons (and having enough Dragons out to deal with 1 or 2 Opponents in one go). But since 2 out of 3 of my "upgrades" either ended up being worse or far less fun to play, I would like your opinion (and a few tips) to the changes i made before I buy cards. While it's fun to play, it feels a bit unreliable, so i would like to upgrade my Deck. I got the Draconic Rage precon as a present, swapped a few cards out and made ] my Commander.
